These terms describe the use of Medusa Map, a user-powered service for jellyfish sighting reports.

1. Use of the service

The service is provided for informational purposes. Reports are submitted by users and may not be complete, accurate, or immediately up to date.

2. User accounts

Submitting reports may require an account. Users are responsible for the accuracy of their details and for keeping access to their account secure.

3. Reports, photos, and location

By submitting a report, you confirm that you have the right to upload the photo and that the report describes a real observation. The service may store a photo, comment, GPS coordinates, and submission time.

4. Content moderation

Reports appear on the map immediately, but may be reviewed by an administrator after publication. We may reject or delete reports that are false, unrelated, offensive, or infringe third-party rights.

5. Limitation of liability

Medusa Map does not replace official announcements, lifeguard guidance, or professional safety advice. Users rely on the information at their own responsibility.

6. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated when the service changes or legal requirements evolve. Continuing to use the service after changes means accepting the updated terms.
